don't mind the mk3, not a bad lookin number...if you're looking to do a resto on a mk1 or 2, this book is a great start, have a copy here myself. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RALEIGH-CHOPPE...#ht_1221wt_1274ebay uk would be the go for parts, there's literally thousands of things on the you wouldn't find here in aus!
welcome guys! haven't been on here for a while myself...if yas didn't notice darren (mrmorbid)'s post on the last page, a few of the sa guys on here including myself, darren, poch (liquidchild), luke (wildturkey) etc are involved with the fb group adelaide easyriders, dedicated to the custom scene in sa. use the address in my signature.please feel free to join us, also we're looking at planning our next roll for late july, so come along!
cheers for sharing that vid eccles - got a few good ideas from it.good reminder with the aircon hewey - will check the manual for the setup guide (for clearances) before continuing...in terms of the desk itself - would rather chop and change an old solid timber number rather than try and work with a thin and flimsy thing from ikeabut cheers for the ideas re storage solutions...
cheers morbs for your ideas on fb...am thinking of chopping and changing an old student desk (ie moving the drawers to the left side) to fit around the aircon unit and create a workbench then attach a toolboard sticking up at the back, kinda like the mirror on a dresser unitpreferably wanna keep all the dirty work outside where possible, and just store the complete bikes inside.
