Going for a ride isn't a waste of time mate. Thats how I started with Hunter Motorcycles..........I thought they were shit, and said it on an internet forum. the owner suggested I take one for a ride, and three years later I'm general Manger of the company. Do It......you won't be dissapointed.

Be interesting to see how much they go for 2nd hand and see what resail value will be like.my bet is there'll be heaps of them in 12 months when people upgrade as they get a full bike liscence and want something bigger.

We've had the Spyder on the market for 3 years now, and there's over 450 sold. Our customers aren't all learner riders. A lot of people want a light bike at a good price that looks cool. HALF our customers are over 35 yrs of age, and half of them already have a full licence. The resale on the Spyder is solid, they sell for $5000-$6000 generally.

We don't have a dealer in SA at the moment, but I can deliver you a bike from interstate. I encourage everyone buying a motorcycle to find the right bike for them. Do some homework, ride a few and compare key elements. Our Bikes are Full size. 21" front wheel and 16" rear. (A lot of other cruisers have odd sized wheels, hard to get tyres for, like 15 " rear etc.) Ours have triple disk braking.........NO DRUMS, its the 21st century. Ours are Fuel injected. They come standard with Billet forward controls.

I'm 6'1" and they fit me perfectly. We also have set back forward controls and "reach" seats for shorter riders.

I'll try and link you to a vid of Pauly Fenech from Fat Pizza riding his. (Clip is taken from his new show "HOUSOS", goes to air in a couple of months). Crudity warning, not for sensitive eyes......

Benno, ive read alot of bits and pieces on the net about the hunter/johnny Pag bikes but found it quite hard to find myth from rumour as the official website is a bit hard to follow.

I read somewhere that a 250vtwin lifeng was in the works? Is this true?

I gotta say its great to have someone from hunter here to ask questions.

No plans for a 250 vtwin as far as I know. Johnny Pag is bringing out a larger capacity water cooled Vtwin in a totally new bike though. Its around the 700cc mark.

Honda Shadow/Steed 400cc Vtwin.
VLX 400
1988-1989

from what i can tell its not an aussie released bike, but Sumoto do a bobber version for $6990 , but as far as i can tell all they have done is change the rear fender and seat, even the handles are stock. As a learner bike they could be a great bike to look into ( reliability wise i have no clue about these)

They look really good,You'd have to think Honda reliabilaty/support,parts ,service centres everything is going to be way better then these new chinese things.I imagine quality of honda would be in different league. As would yamaha, kawasaki, all the big makes that have been around for ever.I've used Honda motors when i was in pestcontrol and they just run for ever.I also used honda only mowers when i had a jims mowing franchise as do about 90% of jims and its not because we got good deals but because there reliable day in and out And resale is great because they're known for quality. And there bound to hold more street cred then the chinese bikes.

The Sumoto bikes are second hand "Grey Imports", be careful. Google Sumoto and check the forums to see how customers get treated.
Our Bobber has arrived and on shop floors now!
