Hey, I thought people might be interested in the Garage Sale Trail which is taking place on April 10. Basically its a national day of coordinated garage sales taking place across the country. People register online (for free) and give a basic description of the kind of stuff theyre selling, so people can work out which ones they reckon are worth visiting. They did a small trial last year in Bondi and it looked pretty cool, lots of place selling cool sounding vintage gear and people having a bit of fun with it. This year theyre expanding it to be even bigger, and the concept is great so I can see it getting even bigger in future years. More info at http://www.garagesaletrail.com.au/

From what I've heard channel 10 are on board as a key sponsor so ads for it will be starting soon, Im guessing once that starts the whole thing is going to pick up a bunch of momentum.
Hey a combined stall is a great idea! Throw some snags on the barbeque and put on some music and make it a day with mates. Obviously if someone has a primo spot in a trendy part of Melbourne youll be set.

Bump, this weekend. Almost 1500 sales registered! A bike shop in Sydney has organised a group ride to some of the cooler sales in their vicinity, they've even got helpers on cargo bikes who will take your purchases back to the shop so you dont have to lug it on your bike and then you can collect it at your leisure.

The sales near me were pretty good. My girlfriend and I picked up a bunch of vintage records and a very cool 70s ceramic lamp base, although the 62 BSA got my attention too! A few places had bikes, the coolest being the ladies bike below, plus the usual abused Kmart and Target jobbies.
