the rest I either made or made to fit
rear wheel, Honda CB750 hub lased to a harley rim
front wheel alloy twin disc hub 19"rim
front brake, katana 1100 rear caliper reversed to other side
gearbox, BSA M21 bottom sliced off and re-made to fit WLA gearbox mounts

Carby, amal 32mm with a 3" plenum with sevi-car manifold
front and rear guards cut and re-mounted to just clear the tyres

I had this up to 80mph and it wasn't pretty, shake and rattle

You might like these Coop.
My Uncle ran these bad boys on salt in the 50's
(not his bike)
After a few runs at Lake Eyre in the mid 50's, and some sand runs in NZ, my uncle Ron took his tricked up Triumph to Bonnerville back in about 1956, he was just 18.
Ran it out to 157 MPH in the get up you see below!! not bad for a 650cc twin!
The record that year was about 193MPH and some change, but was the first year that the streamliners rolled in force, so 157 in a bonds T and some levis aint firkin bad!!!
Also 1956 was the first year that Bonnerville held a record, and since '56 the record has never been broken anywhere other than Bonnerville, so he tells me.
Then after riding around the states for 12 mths, sold the bike to fund a plane trip home.
Time magazine did a series called "flat out on salt" in the US summer of that year, and this was one of the pics they used.
I'm sure he has more, but this is the only one my cousin had on his computer.

A pic in my Signature :D
